While attending Dartmouth College my Dad and two friends were photographed while creating an ice statue for the Dartmouth Annual Winter Carnival. The photograph ended up in The New York Herald Tribune newspaper among others. The name of the sculpture was “The Fame of Dartmouth” from the design of the official winter carnival poster. Dad was drafted for WWII and finished up his degree at Dartmouth when he returned from overseas.
